Originally developed by the famous Chuck Zimmerman in the 1970s, CTZ have come a long way before eventually combining the three similar flavors (Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus) into a powerful blend.
CTZ hop features an earthy, spicy flavor with slight hints of citrus, which makes it an ideal dual-purpose hop. It works well in American-style ales, IPAs, stouts, and some other styles of beer.
When it’s fresh, CTZ is characterized by a herbal flavor with hints of lemon citrus.
